West of the Moon, West of the Moon
Where visions dance to the Night Owl’s tune
And the Dream is more real than the Dreamer
                    West of the Moon

West of the Moon, West of the Moon
Where Psyche plays on wisdom’s loom
Weaving truths through the dreams of the Dreamer
                    West of the Moon

West of the Moon, West of the Moon
Where insight grows in a starry womb
Raising light in the soul of the Dreamer
                    West of the Moon

West of the Moon, West of the Moon
Where break of day comes all too soon
As Dreamer fades into the Sleeper
                    West of the Moon

West of the Moon was conceived as part of a submission to an exhibition of women surrealist artists.

West of the Moon is the land of dreams. The owl is symbolic of the wisdom that whispers to us in the dream state – messages coded in symbols from our spirit guides and higher selves.

Hopefully these messages remain somewhere in our psyches, whether consciously acknowledged, spurring us on in our spiritual journeys. For all too soon the Dreamer wakes to buzzing reality and the sleep of everyday.
